Problem: Health inspector ordered Moe’s BBQ to replace portions of their floor due to cracked tiles. Completion of project required a 2-day turnaround.
Solution: The restaurant owners hired AAA Southern States Refinishing to remove cracked tiles and apply Tufflex Polymers rubber coating over existing plywood. Expected completion for the easy 350 sq. ft. job was only two days; however, after removing the tile, AAA determined that the cracked tiles originated from a water leak rotting the plywood subfloor. The flooring experts immediately went to work replacing 
rotted plywood. They then sealed the seams and applied Tufflex RBC (Rubber Concentrate Coating) with a protective, aliphatic moisture-cure waterproof coating.
AAA Southern States Refinishing completed the project in time for a 24-hr cure and restaurant reopening, which met everyone’s deadline.
3-Step Flooring Renovation Process
Step 1: Remove all rotten wood and replace with new plywood subflooring.
Step 2: New plywood install and taping of floor seams.
Step 3: We mixed Tufflex rbc (rubber concentrate that when cured is tough as a tire) a water catalyzed polyurea and applied it in a coving fashion to water seal and slope perimeter and walls. Then, we applied the RBC to the entire area at 40 sq ft per gallon. The next day, we applied the top coat, an aliphatic moisture-cure waterproofing coating Tufflex AL. along with a light flake broadcast.
