POLISHED CONCRETE FLOORS

A polished concrete floor will use a similar sand and seal technique as epoxy floors. Concrete floors that are polished use a similar grind and seal process as epoxy floors – except that buffing concrete with a progressively finer grit, refines the cement into a shiny, semi shine or matte finish. Concrete overlays are being used extensively, and you’ll also see them in shopping malls. Pigments can be applied to polished concrete floors, and are available in a variety of green and brown tones found in nature along with yellows, blues, and reds. There are a vast number of color options.

CONCRETE STAINING FOR FLOORS

Stained concrete floors are one-of-a-kind, elegant flooring surfaces which are ideal for restaurants, retail, corporate offices, or even residential houses. Architects call for their use in modern, open-concept, or more traditional home styles. Both produce distinctly different outcomes depending on what you want to achieve. Many property owners gravitate to the leather look found in some restaurants for a rich, earthy look. A plain seamless expanse of flooring can become much more interesting with patterns of flowers, logos, stone, or mosaics. Then the surface is color stained or dyed. A large floor area can become more interesting with the application of patterns in mosaics, borders, or the like.

CONCRETE STAMPING FOR FLOORS

Stamped Concrete, with textures and color, will turn a plain slab into a beautiful surface. Usually, it’s applied over existing floors, especially interior or exterior surfaces like a beautiful raised front porch in stamped concrete to resemble a slate flooring, leading to the same or coordinating interior hall floor design. For example, basement floors, kitchen and dining areas, and even hallways and main living areas. Upgrading with stamped concrete elevates the appearance of the interior and exterior of your living space. The selection of styles and textures of stamped concrete may be natural materials in slate or stone and in a variety of textures. When including stamped concrete, it transforms your living space into a more luxurious environment. Stamped concrete supplies a vast selection of colors including numerous textures. The skillful contractor adds acidity and hardener which can produce a delightful focal point to your outdoor area.
