POLISHED CONCRETE FLOORS

A polished concrete floor will make use of a comparable progressive grinding and sealing technique as epoxy, but polishing it smooths the cement into a shiny, semi shine or matte finish after sealing. Self-leveling concrete must be worked with quickly, yet it provides an exquisitely flawless surface area like those seen in banquet halls, showrooms and museums. The same look as polished concrete flooring can be achieved with decorative concrete overlays, where the finish is more easily controllable in application and result. Pigments can be applied to polished concrete floors, and are available in a variety of green and brown earthy shades and also in a variety of shades of red, blue and yellow. Concrete overlays are being used extensively, and you’ll also see them in shopping malls.

STAINED CONCRETE FLOORS

Stained concrete flooring is an attractive, one of a kind flooring surface which is ideal for residential use. Decision makers can choose from two colorization methods. Both produces distinctly different outcomes depending on what you want to achieve. Many property owners gravitate to the leather look found in some restaurants for a rich, earthy look. A plain seamless expanse of flooring can become much more interesting with patterns of flowers, logos, stone or mosaics. Then the surface is color stained or dyed. Concrete contractors are able to achieve a rich earthy brown color, with a leather-like appearance.
