POLISHED CONCRETE FLOORING
A polished concrete floor will use a similar sand and seal technique as epoxy floors. Concrete floors that are polished use a similar grind and seal process as epoxy floors – except that buffing concrete with progressively finer grit, refines the cement into a shiny, semi shine or matte finish. The same look as polished concrete is accomplished by the use of a decorative concrete overlay, where the finish is more easily controlled and may better suit your timing. Pigments can be applied to polished concrete floors, and are available in a variety of green and brown earthy shades and also in a variety of shades of red, blue and yellow. Colorant may be applied to polished concrete floors in a variety of green and brown earthy shades and additionally in magentas, indigos and yellows.

STAINED CONCRETE FLOORS
Stained concrete floors are one of a kind, elegant flooring surfaces which are ideal for restaurants, retail, corporate offices or even in residential houses. Architects call for their use in modern, open concept or more traditional home styles. Both produces distinctly different outcomes depending on what you want to achieve. Homeowners will choose one of two color finishes; acid stain or concrete dyes. Sometimes stains or dyes are introduced for more appealing variations. Experts then apply epoxy sealers or urethane coatings for greater protection.
