Project Scope – Xtreme Polishing Systems moves to new facility. Flooring has old carpet to be removed, concrete is spalling and stained.
Solution – Remove carpet, grind flooring adhesive, degrease concrete, fix cracks and damaged concrete. Restore flooring with decorative systems throughout facility. One area polished with a decorative dye, other areas metallic epoxy with white and gray combination, another area coated with copper metallic epoxy swirl.

Polished Concrete and Epoxy Coatings Process
Here are the Steps
1. Remove the carpet from all of the 4000 sq ft of office space and remove adhesive from floor via mechanical grinding.
2. Next, standard grinding process with metal bond diamonds followed by application of liquid densifier decorative colored dye then polish to a gloss finish with resin bond diamonds. The final step was to seal the surface. There was an enormous amount of linear footage that was hand ground on all of the edges through all polishing steps. After final burnish the floor was ready for office furniture and final move in steps.
3. Concrete Overlay – This step followed floor repair with application of an epoxy primer then topped with a cementitious overlay. The overlay was dyed and polished.
4. Decorative Epoxy Coatings – The office and lounge area were resurfaced with decorative metallic epoxy. The result was a marbleized, showroom finish.
The process is testimony to the versatility of options available with polished concrete, overlays and epoxy for economically restoring cement floors with a functional and decorative result.
