CONCRETE POLISHING FOR FLOORS

A polished concrete floor will make use of a comparable progressive grinding and sealing technique as epoxy, but polishing it smooths the cement into a shiny, semi shine or matte finish after sealing. Concrete floors that are polished use a similar grind and seal process as epoxy floors – except that buffing concrete with progressively finer grit, refines the cement into a shiny, semi shine or matte finish. The same look as polished concrete is accomplished by the use of a decorative concrete overlay, where the finish is more easily controlled and may better suit your timing. Self-leveling concrete floors can be poured in an hour, and result in an elegant, yet seamless look, often seen in galleries and showrooms, banquet halls and retail stores. Colorant may be applied to polished concrete floors in a variety of green and brown earthy shades and additionally in magentas, indigos and yellows.

STAINED CONCRETE FLOORING

Stained concrete floors are one of a kind, elegant flooring surfaces which are ideal for restaurants, retail, corporate offices or even in residential houses. Architects can choose from two kinds of color system options; acid stains or dyes. Each result in a low maintenance, yet attractive look depending on what you want to achieve. Property owners sometimes request a leather look for their flooring surface with acid staining then dyes in varying shades can be applied offering further enhancement of the surface. Designs can be cut into the concrete to create patterns in mosaics, border or the like and then colorized with stain or dyes. Experts then apply epoxy or urethane sealers for additional protection.

STAMPED CONCRETE FLOORING

Stamped Concrete enhances flooring both interior and exterior. Many times, concrete stamping is applied on existing floors, especially indoor or outdoor expanses. Outside, patios, driveways, walkways and decks are the most common. Upgrading with stamped concrete elevates the appearance of the interior and exterior of your living space. The selection of styles and textures of stamped concrete may be natural materials in slate or stone and in a variety of textures. By using stamped concrete, it transforms your living space into a more luxurious environment. Stamped concrete delivers an immense array of colors to combine with textures. The artful eye of the contractor adds saw cuts and dyes which can result in spectacular designs and a unique and artistic area to upgrade your residence.
