Project – Floor was bare concrete and Uneven, New restaurant remodel required seamless, decorative, low maintenance flooring with polished concrete design. Additional commercial kitchen epoxy flooring system was installed.
Solution – Pinks created high performance, low maintenance, seamless floor with using Rapid Set Self Leveling Tru. Then topped with Ardex PCM Microtopping.
Surface was colored with application of layers of various gray colors to achieve a natural polished concrete appearance.Coloring was achieved Multiple Colors of Smith Paint Acrylic.
Custom tile pattern with 5 foo tile squares on a 45 degree Angle were created for decorative appearance while still
maintaining a seamless floor. The final steps were application of Waterbased epoxy seal coats.Then a High Solids Wax was applied to protect the sealer. In back of the bar and Kitchen area we applied Grey 100% solid epoxy system.

Ardex PCM Microtopping – This is a micro topping with concrete polishing. It’s made of a combination of Portland and hydraulic cement. Smith Paints – Pinks used a combination of Smith Paints Stains to achieve a natural, polished appearance.
Thanks for sharing this information about the polished concrete project in the restaurant! I think that it looks really nice in the picture, especially with the lights and walls that match it. In fact, this type of industrial concrete feel of the restaurant is becoming a lot more popular these days. Maybe I should also do something like this to my own restaurant to increase its curb appeal!
